Lets Talk About...bullies in the classroom...called Teachers

Monday December 3 2007, Join us @ Lets Talk About It with Guest Michele Paiva as we talk about her contervisorial self help guide called "Pocket Guide for the Educational Adovacate"
Lets Talk About It begins at 8 pm EST ( Eastern Standard Time) on www.thatradio.com
Michele Paiva, longtime investigative journalist both on the air in broadcast news and in print – with national and international experience, tells us, after her work and outreach as a national legal advocate, how to protect yourself in any federally funded program.

Paiva, with over 20 years media work, has seen many sides of injustice; and more often than not, the victims could have saved themselves from physical, emotional, financial or character damage by simply following a few guidelines.

Paiva not only advocated for victims across the United States from small technical schools to Ivy League, but also personally, for her own children in a public district school system. She understands the game from the school view, the legal view and the parent view, and from watching her own children and acquaintances children who were victims of discrimination, labeling, violence, and more. She knew that the problem was widespread and nothing existed for the parent or older student to equip themselves with empowerment, so she decided to begin compiling this book in 2003.

Paiva lives in the suburbs of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, and has been a writer for over 25 years. She entered, [on a dare!], an International pageant and won the title of Mrs. Pennsylvania 2002, in which her platform was the Prevention of Domestic Violence. Paiva is also a Yoga Therapist and has worked with clients in recovery from violence, abuse and injustice. She lives in the suburbs with a very spoiled Chihuahua.
